Esterno Parco di sculture Tra i mondi

“Tra i mondi” sculpture park

The “Tra i Mondi” Sculpture Park is located in Lingueglietta, a small village in the municipality of Cipressa, in the province of Imperia. This theme park was created by Carin Grudda, an internationally renowned contemporary German artist.

In 2001, with the help of Günter Gerberding, the artist’s husband, Carin Grudda decided to create this open space, a true realm suspended between two worlds. On the one hand, nature, olive trees and terraces carved into the ground. On the other, the bronze sculptures that populate the environment, enriching it with enigmatic presences, building a constant dialogue between the real world and the fantasy one.

In this intermediate world, between sea and mountain, visitors can immerse themselves in the artist’s studio, a bucolic workshop that becomes an exhibition space.

“Tra i Mondi” Sculpture Park, an Enchanted Place

Walking through the “Tra i Mondi” Park, natural and artistic elements merge together. There are several noteworthy works, such as the “Poles”, an installation of twelve fused plants composed of wood found on the beaches of the Riviera and serving as symbolic doors leading from the world of Nature to the world of Art.
Also worth mentioning is the sculpture entitled “The Large Woman”, already exhibited at the Venice Biennale, and a “Pegasus” that is very much loved by children.
For further information, visitors are invited to the “Porta di Valle” information point in the municipality of San Lorenzo al Mare.
