Novaro Park, Wellness Park
The Novaro Park is located in the municipality of Costarainera, in the province of Imperia. In the past, the virtuous properties of the Riviera’s mild climate and the essences of the plants cultivated here were at the origin of the construction of health resorts in the area.
The “Giacomo Filippo Novaro” Wellness Park continues this long tradition by expanding the concept of wellness, integrating it with sport, outdoor activities, nature, and the beauty of a landscape suspended between the sea and the Mediterranean maquis.
Thanks to the collaboration of landscape architects and naturopaths, “naturotherapy rooms” have been created in the Wellness Park. These are areas that house specific plant species with therapeutic properties. There are also spaces for art-therapy workshops, and for practising meditation disciplines.
There are play areas for children to enjoy. Audio guides, available to guide visitors around the park, can be downloaded using QR codes on the park signs.
It should also be noted that on the seabed in front of the Novaro Park is the underwater garden of Posidonia oceanica, classified as a site of special biological importance.
For further information, visitors are invited to the “Porta di Valle” information point in the municipality of San Lorenzo al Mare, which provides information on all aspects of the San Lorenzo Valley, including villas, parks, artists and the cycle path.
